Apparently, over at Gearbox they’ve been working on a VR version of Borderlands 2, which isn’t too far off from its release. For those who are looking forward to seeing Pandora through a VR headset, it launches on December 14th of this year.
A few things have been changed because it’s now a VR title, one of the biggest ones being the loss of co-op. Borderlands 2 VR will be a single-player experience only, which kind of defeat the purpose of the game. They’ve also changed around the characters abilities, since an entire skill tree had to be removed (due to the lack of co-op). Driving vehicles is now in first-person perspective and aiming the vehicles weapons with your head.
Gearbox didn’t say if this was a stand-alone, or whether it was a title update for those who already own The Handsome Collection. They did not mention a price or if it included any of the DLC.
