The Culling is com­ing to Xbox One through ear­ly access pro­gram Game Pre­view on June 2nd. No price was giv­en how­ev­er the game will like­ly match the $25 price of the PC ver­sion. There is also no word on when the game will be com­plet­ed.

Devel­op­er Xaviants states the game is inspired by books and films such as The Hunger Games, The Run­ning Man, and Bat­tle Royale. The game cap­tures this spir­it by hav­ing 20 play­ers drop into a map where they have to scav­enge, hunt, and kill. Each match last 25 min­utes and because it’s kill or be killed there is no respawn­ing.

Oth­er game modes include offline match­es and duo mode where play­ers can pair up with each oth­er to sur­vive. The game also includes play­er perks, per­son­al in-game air­drops, game show-themed match events, a craft­ing sys­tem, mul­ti­ple maps, and over a thou­sand unlock­able cus­tomiza­tion items.
