Ubisoft’s announcement trailer for Far Cry 5 was today and it revealed what awaits you in the upcoming open-world, first person shooter.
The trailer itself is has a very religious undertone, which should have been expected considering the cover art for Far Cry 5 is a mass of characters set in Leonardo Da Vinci’s painting “The Last Supper”. That is pretty biblical. Obviously, the game is centered around a cult and its crazy ass followers, attempting to take over a small town in Montana. You can see the Video for yourself below:
In addition to the announcement trailer, Ubisoft also revealed a bit of information on it’s head honcho cultists, and the resistance fighters who will be willing to join you.
The cult is name Eden’s Gate and consists of several cult leaders. Joseph is the leader of the cult, he is the one that everyone follows. His brother Jacob, who was in the army for 20 years, and he has a set of unique skills. Joseph’s youngest brother, John (yes bible named brothers) is a lawyer who maintains the cults public appearance and is like the “face” of Eden’s Gate. Lastly, you have Faith. The half-sister, who keeps all the follower sheep pacified and focused.
On the other side of the coin, the resistance is a made of up a woman who owns a bar/saloon, a man who lost his church to the cult where he was beaten left to die in the woods, and a man who owns plane. You can see the trailers to the resistance below:
