It is real­ly no sur­prise that recent­ly retail­ers have been drop­ping the price of The Last Guardian from it’s $60 orig­i­nal price to $40. This is no tem­po­rary cut, but is entire­ly per­ma­nent. 

A rep­re­sen­ta­tive of Sony con­firmed to Poly­gon this new $40 offi­cial price. This game, which is an adven­ture game fea­ture a young boy and his “pet” dog-bird hybrid crea­ture. If you want­ed this game, but didn’t want to pay that hefty new game price, here are some of the place you can get it:

This game took so long to devel­op and the fears of its can­cel­la­tion were off the charts. The game was final­ly launched back in Decem­ber 2016, which was only a few months ago. The direc­tor of The Last Guardian, Fumi­to Ueda, admit­ted this game had some issues and “took longer than any­one expect­ed.”  

It seems this price drop is sim­ply because peo­ple did not respond well to wait of the game. The Last Guardian Seems to have done rather well in the review depart­ment, 7/10 or bet­ter for most. 82% for Meta­crit­ic.
