No Man’s Sky is get­ting anoth­er huge, free update very soon. Com­ing August 14th, No Man’s Sky Beyond brings some new social fea­tures, game improve­ments and VR sup­port to all No Man’s Sky play­ers for free.

Infor­ma­tion about No Man’s Sky Beyond is still scarce but you can spot a few new addi­tions in the trail­er above. Play­ers will be able to mount and ride crea­tures found on plan­ets and new social space called the Nexus will will allow play­ers to meet, show off and adven­ture togeth­er. If you own a VR head­set, you can play No Man’s Sky Beyond in VR.

Sud­den­ly your ship that you spent 50 hours earn­ing can now be seen by oth­ers in the Nexus. Your rare space­suit and unique hel­met can be shown off to oth­er play­ers. Friends and strangers can vis­it that mas­sive base you’ve been work­ing on. Pro­gres­sion in No Man’s Sky is so much more mean­ing­ful when you can share it with oth­er explor­ers and so much more engag­ing when any cre­ations or mis­sions become share­able.
