Despite being well reviewed, Nier: Automata has suffered from a number of bugs on PC. In the 4 months since release there has been no patch to fix them. Players have understandably grown upset and have taken to various platforms to voice their criticisms.

A Square Enix has since given the following statement to Eurogamer when asked about a PC patch for Nier: Automata.

Square Enix and PlatinumGames are working with PC device manufacturers, like AMD, to address the issues with the Steam version of the game because some of the issues are not what Square Enix and PlatinumGames alone can resolve fundamentally. With AMD’s help, Square Enix and PlatinumGames have successfully resolved some of the issues, and we hope to achieve similar results with other hardware makers. We appreciate your continued patience and support for NieR: Automata.”

While this does not give a time frame, it does confirm that a patch is being made. In the meantime fans have taken it upon themselves to fix some of the problems and list current PC issues. The Nier Subreddit has a list of issues and an unofficial patch that fixes some of them.
