Today dur­ing Microsoft’s Xbox E3 con­fer­ence, Xbox’s VP of gam­ing Phil Spencer announced Microsoft’s next gen­er­a­tion con­sole Project Scar­lett.

Project Scar­lett fea­tures a cus­tom designed CPU based on AMD’s Zen 2 and Radeon RDNA archi­tec­ture. Microsoft claims Project Scar­lett will be 4 times more pow­er­ful than the Xbox One X. This next gen con­sole is also using GDDR6 ram and an SSD for fast load times.

Xbox Project Scar­lett will also fea­ture 8k gam­ing with frame rates up to 120 fps, Ray-trac­ing and vari­able refresh rates.

Project Scar­lett will launch dur­ing the Hol­i­day sea­son 2020 with Halo Infi­nite. Check out the Project Scar­lett trail­er below.
