According to Dalton Link, the community manager from Bandai Namco, Tekken 7 is set for launch June 2nd, 2017. This long awaited game will be coming on this date to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Tekken 7 will be using the 3D battle system, plus photorealistic graphics with innovative features and fighting mechanics. Players can select characters from an impressive roster, from well-known favorites to new challengers. Each character has a distinct set of deadly techniques, martial arts moves, and combos.
Tekken 7 will be the last chapter of this 20-year fighting feud. That’s right folks, no more Tekken. Below are some of the new features of Tekken 7:
When your life bar depletes it will eventually start to flash red, which indicates you have entered “Rage” mode. Once in this mode your character will deal more damage as well as gain access to two all-new moves: the Rage Art and Rage Drive.
This is a super powerful armored attack allowing you to absorb hits and power through an enemy assault, possibly turning the tide of battle. This combat mechanic provides players an easy comeback when they are far behind.
Not as destructive as Rage Art, the Rage Drive is a strategic alternative that unleashes a devastating combo.
This is also an armored attack and will power through most attacks, shifting momentum in your favor. Power Crush is risky and should not be thrown out carelessly, but if timed properly, will give you an extreme advantage.
Akuma From Street Fighter
Akuma joins Tekken 7. Akuma is very unique fighter in that he can utilize an EX Meter, allowing him to pull off EX and super moves. The Great Demon comes to Tekken armed with many of his classic attacks, but each with a new spin and the potential to be comboed in unique ways.
Bandai Namco also announced a Collector’s Edition of Tekken 7, which includes a 12″ by 18″ figure depicting “Kazuya and Heihachi locked in an epic showdown.” The collector’s edition will also include the season pass, a special collectable Steel Book, and official Tekken 7 soundtrack.
Anyone who pre-orders will receive an additional character, Eliza, who previously appeared in Tekken Revolution.
There will be a season pass for Tekken 7, which will grant you access to 3 content packs will new playable characters, stages, and games modes. Plus, a 35- piece Metallic Costume Pack. Bandai stated to have more details in the future.
Xbox One has an exclusive deal with Tekken 7, where if you pre-order you will also receive Tekken 6.
