Post­ed in a tweet today, Ubisoft announced they will open­ing two new stu­dios in Europe. One will be in Bor­deaux, France and the oth­er in Berlin, Ger­many, some­time lat­er this year. It is stat­ed in their blog post that both these stu­dios will be work­ing on AAA, mul­ti­plat­form titles, along with assist­ing in cre­at­ing new games for the “biggest fran­chis­es in gam­ing.”

Chris­tine Burgess-Qué­mard, exec­u­tive direc­tor of Ubisoft’s world­wide stu­dios, said:

We pride our­selves on attract­ing and retain­ing the best cre­ative tal­ent around the world, and on estab­lish­ing video games as a viable career option and eco­nom­ic con­trib­u­tor in new locales.”

These two stu­dios will also be work­ing col­lab­o­ra­tive­ly with teams around the world, pulling from a “rich pool of local tal­ent”.

Ubisoft Bor­deaux 

Ubisoft already has many stu­dios estab­lished in France, includ­ing Paris, Lyon, Annecy, and Mont­pel­li­er. The Bor­deaux stu­dio will be work­ing with these oth­er french devel­op­ment teams who led games like Just Dance, Steep, and Ghost Recon Wild­lands. Ubisoft Berlin

The Berlin team will be work­ing with Blue­Byte, the indus­try leader in PC strat­e­gy games. Ubisoft Berlin will be and Blue­Byte teams are col­lab­o­rat­ing in both Düs­sel­dorf and Mainz on an unan­nounced AAA project. This stu­dio is plan­ning to grow around 50 peo­ple in 12 months, so new­com­er of vet­er­an, keep up with the lat­est news from Blue­Byte, and look for open­ing at http://jobs.ubisoft.com.
