During Ubisoft’s E3 showcase they showed an extended look at the next entry in the open world, hacking Watch Dogs series, Watch Dogs Legion.
Watch Dogs Legion is set in London and features a different approach to telling its story by allowing the player to play as any character they see and recruit to DeadSec.
Ubisoft promises that each and every character has “a persistent schedule and backstory,”. You can play as a variety of different people ranging from ex- MI5 agents to a 70 year old woman.
Each person you recruit will have unique perks and can be leveled up to unlock more skills and allow you to further customize your character to fit your play style.
Watch Dogs Legion also features perma-death, meaning that each character you play as does not come back once they die. They are gone forever.
While the original Watch Dogs fell flat of expectations due to boring, repetitive gameplay and a main character that had about as much personality as an empty paper bad, Watch Dogs 2 is fun and Watch Dogs Legion looks to be taking the series in the right direction. Check out the full 11 minutes of gameplay shown at E3 in the video embedded above to see what you’re up against in a dystopian London.
Watch Dogs Legion will launch for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC March 6th 2020
